Get Fit and Lose Weight with Wii Fit

If there's one thing that's been on many people's resolutions list this year, it's the resolution to get into shape once and for all. The chances are that this particular promise was on your list too - and perhaps it's been there in the past.

It's no secret that New Year's resolutions are notoriously hard to keep, but what is it about the idea of getting ourselves fit and healthy that turns us off so much? There are plenty of reasons: junk food tastes so good, working out at the gym is boring, and so on. What if there was a way to make your work out routines fun, enjoyable and rewarding? Perhaps it'd be far easier to keep those resolutions after all.

Nintendo's innovative computer game for its latest console the Wii, could hold all the answers. Wii Fit is a fantastic game that has helped many people begin to control their weight, with plenty of owners claiming they lost significant amounts using its various work-outs and mini games that make exercis ing fun. You begin by stepping on the Wii Fit board, a balancing board that can measure your weight and give you an estimate of your ideal weight. For many, this will be the least fun part of using the board, but once the hard part's over, you can get straight to having fun!

Wii Fit is filled with options that will appeal to all types of exercisers. For example, you can get a great cardio workout by playing the various mini games that require you to think on your feet and get moving, or you can work on your strength by following on-screen instructions and incorporating the Wii Fit board into your regime, thus letting the machine record your progress. There are even yoga programmes for fans who prefer a workout for the mind as well as the body, as well as excellent, challenging games such as football and skiing games that will have the whole family wanting to get involved.

As you track your progress with Wii Fit, you could end up being surprised with h ow quickly the pounds start to shed when you dedicate yourself to playing for a set amount of time every day. Naturally, the best way to get yourself fit is to work out daily, but when we perceive the exercise as boring and a chore, it's far harder to bring ourselves to do it. Thanks to Nintendo and its innovative Wii Fit board, you can exercise in the comfort of your own living room and have great fun while doing so!
